Carpet Burn

Burns can be one of the simplest repairs.

Burns in carpeting are quite frequent . Although cigarette burns were the most common 30 years ago they still rank high. Iron burns are very common. I recently repaired "five" separate iron burns in an apartment. It takes just a fraction of a second for a tipped over hot iron, or fireplace spark, or cigarette to "melt" the synthetic fibers into a black crust. The basic tools used and patching technique is demonstrated on actual carpet in the adjoining photos.

As you will see the repairs can be very close to invisible. " I don't just repair carpets I save carpets". The patching technique is basically the same for, stains, tears, and Berber carpets.
